3. Applying for Citizenship If you are ready to participate in the region more than just on the Regional Message Board, then it might be time for you to consider applying for citizenship. Some good reasons for applying:- You can vote in forum-based elections to elect the Vaukeer (WA Delegate) and the High Council.
- You can vote on laws and treaties, and propose them, in the Dragonhold Council.
- You can participate in one of the Craft Holds as an apprentice, and then move up to Deputy-Master.
- You can participate in the regional government, and/or stand for election for a position in it.
- You can join in on forum-based activities, and have a good time posting and spamming on our forum - if all the above isn't appealing already.
What do I need to do to become a citizen?
The first thing you need is a nation in Vaukath, which is the main requirement of Citizenship. Once you have decided on a nation you would like to keep in Vaukath, then you need to: 1. Make an account on the regional forum, which will ask you to supply an email address, account name, birth-date, and password in order to register. 2. Make a citizenship application, which will ask you to state the name of your nation in Vaukath, and your past Nationstates history (if any) in the game. What do I need to do to keep my citizenship?
Once you have citizenship it is pretty easy to keep, so long as you: 1. Keep a nation in Vaukath. 2. Tell us when the nation you have in Vaukath changes. If you don't tell us, and your nation Ceases to Exist (CTE's) or you no longer have a nation in Vaukath, then your citizenship will be removed until you reapply with a nation that resides in Vaukath ↸ Back to Contents

4. Jobs & EmploymentWith our regional government there are opportunities to get involved in the politics of the region. Vaukath has regional elections every four months for most political positions, and there are opportunities to become a member of a Craft Hold and serve Vaukath that way. You can get hands on experience of how our government works, and maybe even run for political office yourself in the future. This section of the guide will give you a brief run down of what is on offer. The Dragonhold Council of Vaukath[Get Citizenship - Become a Dragonrider]This is the main legislative body of Vaukath, where citizens and residents of Vaukath propose and discuss legislation and issues of the realm. In order to vote on legislation or in regional elections however, you must become a Dragonrider and protect the land and sky of Vaukath, from any coming darkness. It isn't hard to become a Dragonrider or Full Citizen, so you might want to give it a try, and become a full member of the community, though you are welcome to just stay a Resident and join in as an apprentice to a Craft Hold. Craft Holds of Vaukath The following Craft Holds of Vaukath are always open to new members, unlike the more exclusive Guardian or Technician's Guilds, that only need a small membership. State Craft [Join here]The State Craft Hold involves organizing immigration into the region, diplomacy with other regions and organizations, and recruitment of nations into Vaukath. Sub-Links: [Become a Diplomat] [Become a Recruiter]Vaukeer Craft [Join here]The Vaukeer Craft Hold involves being informed about the World Assembly, spreading the word about current resolutions at vote, and perhaps proposing some yourself. Sub-Links (Takes Back to Nationstates ): [Join the World Assembly] [Participate in the General Assembly/Security Council]Printer's Craft [Join here]The Printer's Craft Hold prepares and runs cultural events and roleplaying, and it also organizes religious rituals and the Vaukath Chronicle newspaper. Sub-Links: [Start a Cultural Event] [Start a Roleplay] [Write for the Vaukath Chronicle] [Participate in Religious Rituals]↸ Back to Contents

What are Issues?Issues are events that your nation has to decide to do about - or dismiss (ignore). Each issue usually shows different views of petitioners within your nation: Usually they represent people or groups that want to neglect or improve upon aspects of your nation’s economy – but they can also involve restricting or expanding the civil rights or political freedoms of your nation as a whole i.e. establishing a dictatorship vs establishing a liberal democracy. How many issues can I have each day? Options:- No Throttle.

What happens when I answer issues? When you answer issues, they change your rankings in global categories. A.
